2020.09.20 12:41 MidnightIsland212 Michael Frederick v Western Sudan Recap R18, 2020 GRAND FINALE

This is it everyone. Western Sudan might have won the battle. We all know though: King Michael Frederick won the war. It has been a first year like no other we've ever seen before in any of our lives: and the first of several to come so we can only hope for now.
King Freddy saved his best for last with a performance that has absolutely ripped the Western Sudanese to shreds; but his performance was not enough when nobody else stood up to help the messiah in a loss that has left our King feeling sad, but we remain grateful for his existence.
If you saw tonight's game: you probably thought the same as me. If this man isn't in the top five at the Brownlow Medal count this year. It's a crime. There is something going on behind the scenes to sabotage the rise of our King and I know Lachie Schultz is involved in some manner too.
Even sadder too is that Evil Ken Hinkley and Port Adelaide are preventing the birth of his brother and future juggernaut Martin into the league: but we can only hope that it is coming first thing next year to send shockwaves through every single person in the country and the world.
This might be the end of the season for King Freddy. But it's never truly the end. The man, the myth, the legend will live on as we keep track of his movements in preparation for next season: What will he do for Christmas? Where will he dump Tom Lynch's body? Who will he decide to eat next?
We have the questions but only he has the answers. This is the FINAL FREDDY RECAP of the Season 2020. Thank you for joining in and remember: Freddy Forever. Keep up the love friends. God Bless.
King Freddy ZERO (ZERO) def. by Western Sudan 11.8 (74).

2020.09.18 20:31 swagcity9812344 A conspiracy theory: Egypt and the UAE

TLDR: Egypt will lead arabized middle easterners and eastern Mediterraneanans while the UAE will lead gulf arabs, with Israel being a part of both alliances.
It seems that Egypt has more or less given up on the “arab world” and is strategically placing itself as the new leader of the Eastern Mediterranean and the Red Sea. This means that Egypt foreign policy and relationships are going to be focused on the Levant, east Africa, Iraq, Libya , Jordan, and Southern Europe.
Alternatively, the Arab world will be spear headed by UAE, and Israel. This Arab world is going to mainly consist of gulf countries and Israel/Palestine. The US will also have a huge role in this as well.
Israel will also be a main actor in both alliances.
This strategy is quiet intelligent because it will entail middle eastern dominance over all the waterways and ports from the Mediterranean to the Arab gulf. Nevertheless, this also serves as a departure for Egypt from the heart of the Arab world to the heart of the near east and east Africa, aka Arabized MENA people.
I think Egypt recognizes that it has little in common with the gulf despite their close relationships and is trying to raise its oldest and closest allies (Libya, Iraq, and Syria) back to their knees and make money off of it via reconstruction deals.
This double pronged alliance, led by Egypt and uae but heavily supported by Israel will serve as a deterrent to turkey and Iran, while giving them an opportunity for peace.
I believe the ultimate goal will be a slow but a gradual realignment of countries to an Arab&near eastern bloc that will outshine the EU.
Established an eastern Mediterranean forum similar to OPEC that has its HQ in Cairo
Planning on becoming the leader of oil/electric exports Europe via Greece, Cyprus and Israel.
Iraq and Jordan summit where Egypt signed contracts for reconstruction in Iraq and exporting their oil via sues canal and new pipe line that connects them.
Fight in Libya, where Egypt will definitely be the main player for reconstruction and port for oil exports.
Sudan and South Sudan are already in the bag, with Egypt making new alliances with Somali land and heavily investing in Nile basin countries.
Israel peace trusts + Bahrain
Taking a more active role in portraying itself as a leader for the gulf.
Beef with Iran

2020.09.18 15:53 LordNotix [RESULTS] The East African Conflict: Calling of the Crusade (Phase 1)

[M: Many thanks to Apieceofpi for calculating these battles, this has been a collaborative effort. Any questions can be directed at either of us.]

The Egyptian-Sudanese Front

The Battle of the Nubian Desert - LY106

The sun beat down across the Nubian Desert as the opening maneuvers of the war to change the face of Africa began. A disgustingly still day left the only dust kicked up to be that in the wake of the Sudanese Tanks, and Egyptian Vehicles. Some likened the return to conflict as to a return to the days of action against, or under the Mahdi.
Nonetheless the Egyptian forces designated the 2nd ISE Invsasion Force’s instructions were rudely interrupted by the arrival of the Heavenly State’s Assault Group 2 - a mixture of footslogging zealots marching along rural desert roads, and armoured elements to assist them. Here the more mobile Egyptian forces would be forced to engage in a rapid redeployment back to LY105.

The Battle of Sinkat - LY104

The Sinkat district had long been home to those in opposition to Egyptian rule, from the Hadendoa of old to the modern Heavenly Sudanese. On the cloudy, breezeless day that the 1st Holy Battalion crossed the border, it was no different. The heavily armoured column slowly trudged across the desert flats, only to come under spurious gouts of small-arms fire from guerilla fighters seeking to kill and maim those whose bodies were exposed from within their vehicles. Whilst engaged at every opportunity, the guerilla forces managed to slip away back to LY103.

Heavenly State of Sudan takes LY098 from the Islamic State of Egypt.

The Battle of Gilfkebir Plateau North - SH133

Both the Mashriq Soldiers and the Sudanese Army made a hasty scramble for the Gilfkebir Plateau, yet more sunbaked sand and rocks amongst the surrounding deserts. Here the Sudanese’s own knowledge of their country won out, allowing them a moment of rest upon arrival before the intrusion of the armour-laden Mashriqi 1st Army.
Here the value of Armour once more shone, as the Mashriqi Tanks repulsed much of the damage levelled towards them, and the Sudanese Defence Group 1 was forced to make a humiliating retreat from whence they had come....

To the South of the Gilfkebir Plateau, the reinforcements for the Defence Group 1 - the Defence Group 2 - met their match in the Mashriqi Spearhead forces in the form of the 2nd Army. Once more they received little in the form of rest before the arrival of their Mashriqi assailants, whose presence was further bolstered by the sweeping Air Army 2.
Despite being able to cause much in the way of casualties against the Egyptian Republican Guard, Defence Group 2 broke morale upon the arrival of what was left of Defence Group 1. In the panic, and confusion, the Defence Group 2 managed to escape back to SH055, whilst those forces they were supposed to be reinforce-ing found themselves instead at the mercy of the Mashriqi forces here.

The Somalian-Ethiopian Front

The Crossing of the Mendebo Mountains - ET017

The 3rd Attack Group cross the border into the Somalian Mendebo Mountains and take the province uncontested.
They will be considered undersupplied and may take attrition if they do not secure a supply line in the next phase of the war.

Greater Kenyan Federation takes ET017 from the Federal Republic of Somalia.

The Battle of the Genale Wenz - ET015

The less fortunate 2nd Attack Group found their invasion of Somalia proper far further opposed than their colleagues. The hilly grasslands were home to many soldiers of the Federal Republic as the Kenyans discovered. Furthermore much of the sabre-rattling of the Kenyan Church and Government had ensured the steely-minded Somalians had dug-in deep along the hills and river, scarring their rural lands to erect temporary defensive measures.
Despite these efforts, the Somali soldiers of the 4th Brigade still suffered at the hands of the 2nd Attack Group, before forcing retreat back into the unadministered lands of ET016. If the 2nd Attack Group remain here, they will be considered undersupplied and may take attrition if they do not secure a supply line in the next phase of the war.

If the 2nd Attack Group were unfortunate, the 1st Attack Group’s luck was positively tragic. Where their comrades had found increasingly well defended provinces, they hit the fortress that was the rural hills around the river Dewa Wenz.
Their attack dullened, the defending Third Brigade could recreate their adjacent victory and drive the 1st Attack Group back into the unadministered territories of ET008. If the 1st Attack Group remain here, they will be considered undersupplied and may take attrition if they do not secure a supply line in the next phase of the war.

The Battle at Sea

The Evacuation of Port Saba - KE008

The Empire of East India had been instructed to hold the line, until reinforcements could arrive. The Heavenly Host however had other ideas. The flat desert around the city was surprisingly quiet as combat raged within the city confines at the edge of the Naval Base itself.
Perhaps if it had been but civilian discontent, the Port Garrison may have held until their promised reinforcements could arrive - however this was not the case. What emerged was their organised, and hasty withdrawal into the Lamu Sea, in the face of a Triumphant Heavenly Host.

Greater Kenyan Federation takes the Naval Base at KE008 from The Empire of Eastern India. East Indian forces manage to escape onto the Escape Fleet into the Lamu Sea.

The Battle at the Lamu Sea

Tamilikam actions to deny the Greater Kenyan Federation a fleet had been so much that this conflict was the only one at sea. The familiar hum of Konkordïya engines filled the air, as the Kenyan “Alpha” Squadrons attempted to stem the flow of foreign vessels congregating off the Kenyan Coast. The Naval Bombers filled the sea with fire, shrapnel, and dead sailors before leaving at their leisure to re-arm their deadly cargoes. In their shadow several sinking destroyers, and the East Indian Escape Fleet wrecked. Here those of the Port Garrison injured previously, suffered the worst of fates. Trapped beneath the deck, attached to stretchers to be kept safe, the rushing sea water would smother the light, air, and life from their agonised forms. The heroic sort of those full of form did what they could to aid them, but to no avail - instead many joined the lists of fatalities, and missings. Amongst the craven, and cowards, only the lucky managed to be rescued by their Coalition peers, a further 21% of the survivors perishing to the tumultuous waves, exploding ordinance, or simply caught between titanic vessels.
Arriving late, the Saudi Attack Group Sana’a deferred from joining the conflict as to preserve their own transports, materiel, and assumably lives.
The Coalition forces participating here were from: Tamilakam, Federation of Europa, and The Empire of Eastern India.

Greater Kenyan Federation achieves a Tactical Victory, however the Coalition succeeds in a Strategic Victory. Of the Port Garrison, all Injured Soldiers are now considered dead, along with another unit of Indian Infantry “Lost” instead of “Uninjured”, and another unit of Indian Infantry AI “To Repair” instead of “Uninjured”.

The Kenyan Front

Landing at the Kamale Peninsula - KE006

Amazingly the Tamil Kenyan Expeditionary Force A, managed to land at the Kamale Peninsula without a greeting party. Wherever the Alpha Squadron had slunk off to when they slide back over the horizon, it was not here.

Tamilakam takes KE006 from the Greater Kenyan Federation.

The Landing at Galana - KE005

Where KEF A had little problem, KEF B had much of an issue. Entrenched, waiting, and ready for them, P.D 3 lay in wait. Outnumbered, outgunned, and attempting the dangerous act of Amphibiously Assaulting - when word made it way to their leadership of the KEF forces that a beach-head had been achieved successfully, a general order to retreat from the beach was heard.
It was early, and well-received. Men, Women, and Artillery were hauled back to their landers - much to the bemusement of the Kenyan forces ready to weather a storm of war. Whether it was sympathy, confusion, or paranoia - the momentary hesitation of the Kenyan forces to run down the fleeing Tamils, allowed them the time and space they needed to retreat back to their transport ships off the coast in the Lamu Sea.

The Landing at Aabuko Sukoke - KE004

A near mirror of the landings to their North, the only real difference between the scenes here was the glint of the blazing sun off the sea, as opposed to the grey overcast skies of the Galana exercise. The KEF C, would valiantly approach, engage, and retreat from the beaches of Aabuko Sukoke and rejoin that which was left of their KEF B counterparts at sea. Here again the momentary hesitation of the Kenyan forces to run down the fleeing Tamils, allowed them the time and space they needed to retreat back to their transport ships off the coast in the Lamu Sea.

The First Kanaanites had heard the radios crackle. They had seen the looks on the faces of those that could understand the battlecant. They had seen the survivors be pulled from the waters, and helped pull in turn what was left of the remains of those that succumbed to the Kenyans - sailors, port garrison; Indians, Greeks, it dawned on them the significance of how many, and how far they had come to fight. This was not just their war, this was the war of a great many, in the name of something larger, against this distant foe. Perhaps inspired, perhaps in stubborn human denial, they fought, and they would win.
Perhaps it was the winds of the divine themselves, of God, Allah, or another deity - but the only breeze in this entire war was felt at their backs as they landed against the P.D 5. The Omnipresent sun beat down upon the city of Samburu, it’s rays illuminating the bloodshed, and shining through clouds of smoke and dust as the battle raged. The Persians would force the Kenyan Forces from their homes, their first defeat on their own soil, a defeat in their homes.
The P.D 5 had the sense to withdraw back to KE009, the Capital of Kenya lest they be responsible for it falling into the hands of the furious coalition at their doors.

2020.09.15 02:33 RatimirLenin [EVENT] Baba Wa Wote - Father of All

3 years after the election of the first President, Nbushe Fabore, and the Kenyan State is back at the precipice of a new election. Unlike the previous election, the people and populous have seemed less excited and drawn toward the spectacle. Years of continual blockade, stagnation and a weakening of the state has led many in the nation to wonder why we changed to begin with.
These civilians who seek a return to the old ways, however, are not to be let down. baba Wa Imani Jomo Kenyatta, since his return from the wastelands, threw his hat into the competition and began campaigning for the presidency. His platform and campaign were built around the removal of foreign influence in Africa in general. The people, after all, deserve to be free and not be ruled under the thumb of foreigners - whether it is a foreign religion hailing from the middle east, or provinces owned by foreign states. The protests against the Indian occupation of Port Saba was just a start, and in recent months new political factions have risen in support of the old Kiongozi. When the election finally came around, it was a landslide victory. Achieving over 50% of the votes, Jomo was the clear Victor and next in line for Presidency.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Earning his position in the army, elected as head of faith by the church and now elected as president by the People, it was clear that Jomo was destined for leadership. His destiny, as laid out by God, was to lead the state of Kenya and lead the exodus of foreigners from Africa. This was highly evident in Jomos inauguration speech;
"My Brothers and sisters. Three years ago I stood here before you, handing over power to the late President Nbushe Fabore. I thought that my destiny was elsewhere, and that leadership of the state was not something God wanted me too do. But, as is clear, God had a different plan. It is clear to me now, as it must be to all of you, that my position in the world is at the head of Grand state. In fact, God has shown to me directly that this is his plan. In my times to the west, I saw the horrors that foreign influence bring to our country and homeland. People who once lived under the rule of Europeans now lay dead in the streets. Those who practiced and relied on foreign heads of religion sit at home in despair. Even in our own, more civilized part of Africa people remain impoverished, and in need. To the north, the Islamic states of Egypt and Sudan fought a brutal, unecessary war. Even now, after the collapse of The Mahdi, the two remaining states don't seek harmony, but still remain in conflict and competition. To our East, the Islamic state of Somalia remains a volatile economic power that relies solely on the whims of foreign powers to feed her people. Should the world wish to punish them, they have no way to protect their people. Not only this, but to our North East colonial powers in Greece have claimed an unjust portion of African land, not for the betterment of the people, but for the betterment of their trade. It is obvious that those following false, foreign religions, and those hailing from foreign lands, are not seeking the betterment of Africa, but rather the betterment of their own pockets and ego's. Hell, even the island of Matrouh suffered through 7 years of war just to get out of Africa, rather than accepting their new home!
This is, my brothers and sisters, the duty that God has laid out before us. He demands of us to clear the foreign influence of our homeland and to unite Africa under an African banner. Our religion is born from the flames of the African Spirit. Our culture, outdating even the Egyptian empire, and remaining stronger than ever. We are the chosen ones, saved by God to unite the lands of the Earth.
It is time we fulfil the duty set out by God and begin a golden Era of Kenyan prosperity!”
Following the necessary formations and ceremonies, Jomo began his duties as President. His first order of business seems to be the restructuring of economic policies. It may be a simple coincidence that these restructurings coincide with mass mobilization orders.
The Fate of Kenya is in the hands of Jomo and God now. God bless all in Kenya and let those that oppose us suffer the wrath of Kenyan steel.

2020.09.11 23:15 brantman19 [Econ] The Sudanese Information Super Highway (Follow Up)

Wad Residence Omdurman, Sudan
Leti Wad was preparing to graduate from secondary school and was checking her email for the day. Once upon a time, this was a 10 minute procedure but following the completion of the Sudan Fiber Backbone in June, it was something that cold be completed in about 10 seconds. Leti read through the first few emails. Spam mostly though her friends in Port Sudan were talking on some "Redd-It" website about the military operation near there the other day. That is when her email dinged in a new email. She quickly checked it and saw it was from the University of Khartoum. She had been waiting on this email for months.
"To Ms. Leti Wad, We are pleased to say that you have been accepted to the University of Khartoum..."
She stopped reading there and called her dad in. Congratulations were had by all in the household. It was a big deal for her to be accepted and she had already been promised full scholarships from the local ISP program. Now she would be able to become educated in her favorite subject: Network Engineering and go on to design high speed internet networks for other Sudanese kids nationwide. Today was a good day.
[M] Leti Wad got into college... but more importantly our high speed internet infrastructure is in place.

2020.09.11 23:07 brantman19 [Event] Show What You Are Worth

The Grob G 120 light trainer aircraft taxied onto the runway. Three more soon taxied up and sat behind the first. The air traffic controller in the tower then buzzed in.
Pilots of Training Flight Kilo. This is Commander Korim in the tower. In order to complete your training, a special flight log has been laid before you. You are going to go on an extended mission patrolling the skies of our nation during Exercise Showmaker. You will be performing a wide range of duties from patrolling to inspecting. Kilo 1, lead the squadron to ascent. Oh and don't let anything happen to my airplanes. Out
Kilo 1 checked his instruments and waited radio confirmation from his flight that they had done the same and were prepared for takeoff. Upon full confirmation from the other aircraft, he took off down the runway. All four planes were soon in the air and began to make their way to cruising altitude before the Sudanese Air Force Command channel chipped in.
Kilo Flight. This is Sudan Air Command. You are instructed to patrol the skies of the nation on your flight path. Your first order is to patrol over Gebeit. Out
Kilo flight began making their turn and headed northeast towards Gebeit. Gebeit was the Sudanese Infantry training ground but it was also the location of the training exercises for Exercise Showmaker. As the flight came near, they could see that small black objects were firing on each other outside of the Army Base.
Kilo Flight. The boys defending Fort Gebeit are in desperate need of air support at point Charlie 3. Why don't you give them a hand. Delta flight will give you a hand.
At that moment, two MiG-29s rocketed in and slowed to the speed of the Grob G120s.
Kilo flight. This is Delta 1. We have cleared the skies and will guide you into the target. Drop your payload on target and bug out.
Kilo flight rolled into the attack behind Delta and held the sticks steady.
This is Kilo flight. Payload is away now and tracking.
At that moment, the small clamps under the wings let go and the flare was released and floated over the target showing they had completed their mission.
Kilo flight. Good job on painting the target. You are cleared to return to base. Delta flight head return to SAFB Haiya and prepare to sortie. We have bogies moving on the port.
Delta flight acknowledged and began moving east while Kilo flew west.
On the ground, Echo squad of the 201st Special Forces Division had just witnessed Charlie 3 of the advancing tank platoon slow to a halt after being "hit" by the rounds from the air support. Their commander buzzed in their ear.
"Alright you sad sacks! Air support knocked them out, lets go secure that building as a forward observation point on the hill behind what they just knocked out. To the Rabdan and it'll take us as close as it can. Out"
The Rabdan was a capable APC and could fit up to 8 men inside. The squad piled in for their ride but about two-thirds the way there, the driver stopped.
"Command just said we were hit. You boys survived though so out you go."
The back gate lowered to the ground and the squad jumped out and began running to the target. A loud thumping was heard from behind them and a Mil Mi-35 attack helicopter flanked by a Bell 206 helicopter was roaring overhead. A dummy missile round shot from the Mi-35 and landed near the observation point. More air support to knock out the fortified machine gun nest 30 yards closer to the observation building.
"Let's go boys. Now that the machine gun crew is out, we can take that point."
They sprinted the rest of the way before hitting the side of the wall. When they had all assembled there, the squad leader whispered to the team.
"We are going to breach. Bang the door down and toss two grenades before sweeping the room. Stick with your partner. Ready? And GO!"
The breaching ram hit the door and broke it down in one motion. Two grenades were thrown in and light sounds of puft were heard as they exploded. Red was everywhere but the men who were standing there were covered in that paint. The squad quickly cleared the room and slowly went upstairs to where they found one more person in a captain's uniform. They took him hostage and began to prepare to exfiltrate him before calling back to Command.
"Command this is Echo squad. We've take the forward position. We need artillery on range 12. Over"
The confirmation came back and large sounds of explosions were heard behind them and whistling overhead and the artillery from the G6-A Howitzers fell on the range in from of them and exploded. Five minutes later. A loud horn blew over the area and the comms crackled to all.
"This is Vice President Lt. General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan. Congratulations to all participants here today and in the air above us. This exercise was executed nearly flawlessly and we would like to thank you all. All live fire has been suspended. If you are not in your original positions, a transport has been sent your way. Out"
[M] Exercise Showmaker was a large scale Sudanese military exercise utilizing ground and air assets to obtain various objectives with programmed hindrances in place.

2020.09.08 19:01 StevenStevens43 Destroyed Temple of Thoth

Destroyed Temple of Thoth
In Irish mythology, there was an Irish high king named Ethriel.
Ethriel is supposed to have reigned during the same period that Samson was the king of the tribes of Dan.
Ethriel, son of Íriel Fáid, according to medieval Irish legends and historical traditions, succeeded his father as High King of Ireland. During his reign he cleared six plains. He ruled for twenty years, until he was killed in the Battle of Rairiu by Conmáel in revenge for his father Éber Finn, who had been killed by Ethriel's grandfather Érimón. He was the last of the chieftains who arrived in the invasion of the sons of Míl) to rule Ireland. The Lebor Gabála Érenn says that during his reign Tautanes, king of Assyria, died (1182 BC according to Jerome's Chronicon)), as did Hector and Achilles (the Trojan War is usually dated to the 13th century BC), and Samson was king of the Tribe of Dan in ancient Israel.[1] Geoffrey Keating dates his reign from 1259 to 1239 BC,[2]

Samson fighting a Lion
Tribe of Danaan:
Ethriel himself, was from the tribe of Danann, as he was a Son of Mil, who was a king of Spain, and as we have covered in previous articles, Iberia was a Celtic stronghold during this period. (see Beaker culture).
In the Lebor Gabála Érenn, a medieval Irish Christian pseudo-history, the Milesians (Irish: gairthear Mílidh Easpáinne) are the final race to settle in Ireland. They represent the Irish people. The Milesians are Gaels who sail to Ireland from Iberia (Hispania) after spending hundreds of years travelling the earth. When they land in Ireland they contend with the Tuatha Dé Danann
Link for photo#/media/File:Mythsand_legends;_the_Celtic_race(1910)_(14760459036).jpg)
Sons of Mil
Tuatha de Dannan:
Now, the reason we know that Ethriel was from the tribe of Dannan, is because the Sons of Mil were the legendary Tuatha de Dannan, and the etymology of "Tuatha", means "People, tribe, nation".
The Old Irish word tuath (plural tuatha) means "people, tribe, nation";
Now the fact that many superhuman attributes get awarded to Tuatha de Dannan figures, perhaps makes the Tuatha de Dannan appear mythological.
However it is quite contemporary that during this period there was an Indo-Aryan empire known as the Hittite empire that was waging a serious assault on Egypt and it's surrounding vassal kingdoms, and those Hittites began to take on a super-human aura.
New kingdom
During the Hittite Empire period the kingship became hereditary and the king took on a "superhuman aura" and began to be referred to by the Hittite citizens as "My Sun". The kings of the Empire period began acting as a high priest for the whole kingdom—making an annual tour of the Hittite holy cities, conducting festivals and supervising the upkeep of the sanctuaries.[45]
King Thorri:
A good example of super-human legends comes from a Swedish mythological king named king Thorri from house of ynglings, who is supposed to be descended from Dan I.
About Thorri
King Thorri (Þorri 'frozen snow') was son of Snær ('Snow') the Old, a descendant of Fornjót ("king of Jotlandi (also spelled Gotlandi[2]), later known as Quennlandi and Finnlandi"). See Snær and Fornjót for further information. The name Þorri has long been connected with that of Þórr, the name of the Norse thunder god Thor, or thunder personified.[3]
A grandson of King Snow, and Frost before that, king Nór marries Hedda (Höddu) daughter of Svaða Jótun that may be seen as descending from the Scyldings, from the Kings of Lejre, the stronghold of the descendants of Dan) in Denmark.

Another good example of self confessed supermen during this period, comes from Indo god of war, Subrahmanya.
Kartikeya (Sanskrit: कार्त्तिकेय, IAST: Kārttikeya), also known as Skanda, Kumara,[4], Murugan and Subrahmanya, is the Hindu god of war.[5]

Sea peoples:
Now during this period, several pharoahs, including Merneptah, carried out wars against a notorious naval group named the "sea peoples".
He described the sea peoples as "Northerners from all lands".
Merneptah had to carry out several military campaigns during his reign. In the fifth year of his rule, he fought against the Libyans, who— with the assistance of the Sea Peoples— were threatening Egypt from the west. Merneptah led a victorious six-hour battle against a combined Libyan and Sea People force at the city of Perire, probably located on the western edge of the Nile delta. His account of this campaign against the Sea Peoples and Libu is described in prose on a wall beside the sixth pylon at Karnak, which states:
[Beginning of the victory that his majesty achieved in the land of Libya] -I, Ekwesh, Teresh, Lukka, Sherden, Shekelesh, Northerners coming from all lands.
Link for photo
Merneptah reigned 1213 and 1203 BC, so that would not quite put him within the 1259 to 1239 BC period given in Irish mythology for the reign of Samson.
Merneptah or Merenptah (reigned July or August 1213 BC – May 2, 1203 BC) was the fourth pharaoh of the Nineteenth Dynasty of Ancient Egypt.
Ramesses II:
The reign of Samson would have been during the reign of Remesses II:
Ramesses II
Ramesses II /ˈræməsiːz, ˈræmsiːz, ˈræmziːz/[5] (variously also spelt Rameses[6] or Ramses (Ancient Egyptian: rꜥ-ms-sw "Ra is the one who bore him" > Koinē Greek: Ῥαμέσσης, romanized: Rhaméssēs); c. 1303 BC – July or August 1213; reigned 1279–1213 BC[7]), also known as Ramesses the Great, was the third pharaoh of the Nineteenth Dynasty of Egypt.
Link for photo.jpg)
Ramesses II
Battle against Sherden sea pirates:
Now the war between Egypt and the Hittite empire, was not a quick one, it carried on for hundreds of years, until the Hittites eventually collapsed the Egyptian dynasty, and therefore, Ramesses II was also called in to action against Sherden sea pirates.
Battle against sherden sea pirates
In his second year, Ramesses II decisively defeated the Sherden sea pirates who were wreaking havoc along Egypt's Mediterranean coast by attacking cargo-laden vessels travelling the sea routes to Egypt.[20] The Sherden people probably came from the coast of Ionia, from southwest Anatolia or perhaps, also from the island of Sardinia.[21][22][23] Ramesses posted troops and ships at strategic points along the coast and patiently allowed the pirates to attack their perceived prey before skillfully catching them by surprise in a sea battle and capturing them all in a single action.[24]
Sea peoples:
Now let us just stop a moment, to make sure we are under no elusions as to how notorious the Sea peoples were.
The Sea peoples are actually blamed for the late bronze age collapse, and likely led to the downfall of the native egyptian dynasty, more than the pitch battles conducted by the Hittite army.
Sea peoples
The Sea Peoples are a purported seafaring confederation that attacked ancient Egypt and other regions of the East Mediterranean prior to and during the Late Bronze Age collapse (1200–900 BCE).
Tribe of Dan:
Now what happened to the survivors of those defeats that got captured?
Well, the Egyptians en-rolled them in to the Egyptian army, in return for donating them lands in vassal kingdoms.
What happened to those that escaped? Well, would they not have just went home? Perhaps made their way back to Ireland, via their Iberian strong-hold?
Now, the best theory for who the tribe of Dan is, is that they were captured sea peoples from the tribe of Dannan. Or tribe of Denyan, as referred to by the Egyptians.
The Onomasticon of Amenope, or Amenemipit (amen-em-apt), gives slight credence to the idea that the Ramesside kings settled the Sea Peoples in Canaan. Dated to about 1100 BCE, at the end of the 21st dynasty (which had numerous short-reigned pharaohs), this document simply lists names. After six place names, four of which were in Philistia, the scribe lists the Sherden (Line 268), the Tjeker (Line 269) and the Peleset (Line 270), who might be presumed to occupy those cities.[79] The Story of Wenamun on a papyrus of the same cache also places the Tjeker in Dor at that time. The fact that the Biblical maritime Tribe of Dan was initially located between the Philistines and the Tjekker, has prompted some to suggest that they may originally have been Denyen.
Tribe of Dan:
Now, typical of a sea fairing people, the Denyans ended up settling in a coastal part of Israel.
Tribe of Dan
The Tribe of Dan (Hebrew: דָּן‎), meaning, "Judge", was one of the tribes of Israel, according to the Torah. They were allocated a coastal portion of land when the people of Israel entered the Promised Land, later moving northwards.
Link for photo
Tribe of Dan
Lived on their boats:
Now, the Danites are believed to have actually not bothered settling on the Danite mainland of Israel, instead choosing to just live in their boats.
Assumably in the harbours.
Their primary trade characteristic was seafaring, unusual for the Israelite tribes.[19] In the Song of Deborah the tribe is said to have stayed on their ships with their belongings.[20
The Danites left port at the fall of the Hittite empire:
Now, when the Assyrian empire rose up and defeated the Hittite empire, the Danites took off in their boats and did not bother to hang around and Help Israel defend themselves against the Assyrians, and they were never seen again.
Assyrian conquest and demise
As part of the Kingdom of Israel), the territory of Dan was conquered by the Assyrians, and exiled; the manner of their exile led to their further history being lost.
Link for photo
Dan I:
Now, i think common sense alone would suggest, that the Denyan, likely returned to Northern regions, such as Ireland and Denmark.
You know, regions that had been under the kingship of Dan I, when they first got sent to the near to middle east to stop the charge of Thutmose III, who was leading the Egyptian native army northwards at a high speed.
Dan I
Dan I was the progenitor of the Danish royal house according to Saxo Grammaticus's Gesta Danorum. He supposedly held the lordship of Denmark along with his brother Angul), the father of the Angles in Angeln, which later formed the Anglo-Saxons in England.
Link for photo
Dan I
Now this is not the end.
I now want to shift focus to Samson.
Conquest and territory
The most celebrated Danite was Samson, a Danaite judge from the period of settlement in the lands allotted by Joshua. Pnina Galpaz-Feller sees similarities between the story of Samson and Denyen tribal legends.[9]
Destroyed the temple of Dagon:
Now, Samson is attributed to have destroyed the temple of Dagon.
When the Philistines took Samson into their temple of Dagon, Samson asked to rest against one of the support pillars. After being granted permission, he prayed to God and miraculously recovered his strength, allowing him to bring down the columns, collapsing the temple and killing himself as well as all of the Philistines.
Link to photo
Pillars of Dagon
Temple of Dakka:
However, historically factually, the Temple of Dagon, was likely actually the temple of Dakka, in Nubia/Sudan/ancient egypt.
Temple of dakka
Ad-Dakka (Arab: الدكة, also el-Dakka, Egyptian: Pselqet, Greek: Pselchis) was a place in Lower Nubia. It is the site of the Greco-Roman Temple of Dakka, dedicated to Thoth, the god of wisdom in the ancient Egyptian pantheon.
Link for photo
Temple of Dakka
Temple of Thoth:
Now, in actual fact, it would not even be pertaining to the Temple of Dakka, as the temple of Dakka was only constructed in the 3rd BC, and was a reconstruction of earlier destroyed temples, in slightly different locations.
Now, dating back to the time of Ramesses II, there appears to be temple ruins from a location named Kubban, which is the earliest known temple of Dakka/Thoth.
During the construction of the Aswan dam in the 1960s, the temple was dismantled and moved to the site of Wadi es-Sebua.[7] At the time of its removal, some reused stone blocks from Thutmose III, Seti I and Merneptah were discovered which originated from an earlier New Kingdom structure in or near Kubban.[2] The temple's pylon is now separated from the remainder of the temple due to the missing enclosure walls of the open court.
Link for photo
This would suggest, that the temple was likely destroyed by captured Denyan's fighting under Samson, for Ramesses II, during one of his Nubian campaigns, against the lower cataracts.
Campaigns in Nubia
Ramesses II also campaigned south of the first cataract of the Nile into Nubia. When Ramesses was about 22, two of his own sons, including Amun-her-khepeshef, accompanied him in at least one of those campaigns. By the time of Ramesses, Nubia had been a colony for 200 years, but its conquest was recalled in decoration from the temples Ramesses II built at Beit el-Wali[46] (which was the subject of epigraphic work by the Oriental Institute) during the Nubian salvage campaign of the 1960s),[47] Gerf Hussein and Kalabsha in northern Nubia. On the south wall of the Beit el-Wali temple, Ramesses II is depicted charging into battle against the Nubians in a war chariot, while his two young sons, Amun-her-khepsef and Khaemwaset, are shown behind him, also in war chariots. A wall in one of Ramesses's temples says he had to fight one battle with the Nubians without help from his soldiers.
Link for photo
Ramesses II in his War charriot
Therefore, it is most likely that the Tuatha de Dannan, and Samson, were real historical figures, and Samson truly was a king that was involved in the destruction of a temple, but likely not in the location, nor environment, depicted in legends.
And Irish mythology, ties in perfectly with known contemporary history.
Though the story of Samson destroying the temple with his own super-human strength, is likely euhemerised from the true stroy of 408 BC olympic winner Polydamas of Skotoussa, who had quite literally won the title of hardest man in the world, after winning the pankratiast finals.
Pankratism was a sporting event were competitors fought eachother without rules.
So, unlike todays boxing events, pankratists were actually competing in real fights.
He apparently was killed whilst performing a heroic act of strength, when a roof caved in, and he held the roof up long enough for everyone else to escape, though he himself died.
Skotoussa is also thought to have killed a ferocious lion on mount Olympus with his bare hands.
Samson is also credited with this feat.
Therefore, superhuman acts achieved by Samson, are likely usurped from real stories connected with the Olympic gold medalist Skotoussa.

Polydamas of Skotoussa:
Polydamas of Skotoussa
Polydamas of Skotoussa (Greek: Πολυδάμας (gen.: -ντος) ὁ Σκοτουσσαῖος), son of Nicias, was a Thessalian pankratiast, and victor in the 93rd Olympiad (408 BC).
His size was said to be immense and the most marvellous stories are related of his strength (for example, how, without any weapons, he killed a huge lion on Mount Olympus, or how he stopped a chariot at full gallop). His reputation led Darius II of Persia to invite him to his court, where he performed similar feats.
In the end, Polydamas' strength could not prevent his demise. One summer, he and his friends were relaxing in a cave when the roof began to crumble down upon them. Believing his immense strength could prevent the cave-in, he held his hands up to the roof, trying to support it as the rocks crashed down around him. This gave enough time for his friends to flee the cave and reached safety, but Polydamas never got out and died.

2020.09.06 19:20 brantman19 [Econ] Major Industrial Investment

For nearly a decade, the economy of Sudan had been retooling itself and preparing itself to diversify from the increasingly diminishing black gold that had seen Sudan’s rise to other products that could do more. It was al-Bashir’s hopes that one day South Sudan would be recaptured but when he was ousted in 2019 by the people, President Hamdok had taken over with the hope of a peaceful and prosperous nation. Diversification was taking place all over the Middle East in ways to ensure that growth and stability would continue to be fueled by other methods for sustainability. Lately, Hamdok had been instructing his finance minister to begin drafting up billions into state owned banks and accounts for such a moment that he could begin major industries that would see Sudan well into the future and that day had arrived.
Mukawwar Bay, Sudan
Mukawwar Bay was the crown jewel being built on the Red Sea as a major industrial center for Sudan. The naval base was complete. $1.3 billion had been allocated for the Red Beacon Tower. The city already had various industry starting operations and people were flocking to the city. But it needed more industry and thus it was President Hamdok’s instruction that several state owned but privately ran companies would be headquartered there. Ascend Group was a new food and beverage company whose headquarters would be set up in Mukawwar Bay. Focusing on meat processing and packaging, beverage creation, and other food necessities, Ascend Group would host several plants and factories across the nation. Scene Motors was Sudan’s flagship automobile group. Developing vehicles that would change the way the Arab and African worlds drove. Focused on economically viable models with hybrid technology to ensure that fuel prices remained low, Scene Motors would corner the market and produce quality vehicles both large and small. Pyramid Tech was the next consumer electronics giant. From home ovens and cooking tops to computers and air conditioning units, Pyramid Tech would create electronics and technological marvels that would give millions of people joy at home and at work. Nubia Heavy Industries was Hamdok’s personal pride. Mostly heavy engineering equipment, Nubia Heavy Industries would provide large trucks and tractors to Sudan and Africa’s farmers at convenient prices. Nubia Heavy Industries would also operate a shipyard that would be focused on building the Red Sea’s first major tankers and container ships that were designed to meet the Middle Eastern market’s needs.
Khartoum, Sudan
While Mukawwar Bay was the primary construction zone, Hamdok realized that the capital still needed investment too. One block in particular needed it the most as a shell of a building still was a blight on the city. The Al-Shifa pharmaceutical factory was still in rubble but Hamdok saw the opportunity to rebuild the factory and pitch many more. The Al-Shifa Pharmaceuticals Company would rebuild where the Americans had destroyed with it’s flagship plant and then build more in Al-Fashir and Port Sudan. The Middle East and Africa deserved medicines that could help prevent the spreads of Ebola, Covid, and Malaria. Al-Shifa would provide that.
Port Sudan, Sudan
Port Sudan had seen some major expansion in recent years as several concrete and quarries companies had begun operations for export. Port Sudan was also likely to be second fiddle to Mukawwar Bay in the immediate future unless business was picked up there. Fadlan Logistics Ltd. would base its operations in Port Sudan as the primary logistics coordination company in Sudan. With it main focus on getting items from A to B, it would be the premier company in Sudan and the upper sub-Saharan African region for hauling goods.
[M] More major investments into Sudanese industry and manufacturing. This is about $10bn worth of investment.

Education Construction - This is all about building, rebuilding, and revamping education buildings throughout Sudan. Construction has no doubt started in places and is creating jobs and stability. We are only 5 of 7 years completed in this so education will start to go up in a few years. Nile Investment Bank Formed - This is an investment bank we formed so that individuals can have grants and loans to start up their own businesses. It has been funded with about 2.15bn. The government can also take from this for economic projects. It is mostly being used to build the Mawakkar Bay City Project to be detailed later but this is a catchall for my private business grants and loans too. Farmer's Bank Investment - The Central Bank privatized the Agriculture budget of Sudan to Farmer's Bank. This will allow increased use of the spending from just on farmers in need to other uses that will eventually benefit farmers like subsidizing tractors and the creation of factories and silos. NACL Red Sea Railway - Sudan is part of NACL which has embarked on a rail infrastructure project to put a line from Suez, Egypt to Berbera, Somaliland. This is going to serve the entire area on the Red Sea which is sparsely populated but will help get goods from northern Eritrea, southern Egypt, and the Sudanese coast to Port Sudan. It is already completed in Sudan and Egypt with peak in 2029 as the rest of the NACL Red Sea Railway finishes though the Mawakkar Bay City Project might make it even higher. Manufacturing Strides - I (with help from the UK) have done some investment into our manufacturing with concrete and steel plants around Sudan. This will help keep spending localized on future projects and will make us a nearby nation for the interior of Africa to call on. These are completed and a second phase will be beginning shortly. Mukawwar Bay City Project - Mukawwar Bay is a planned city at Mukawwar Bay. It will become our jewel on the Red Sea as a manufacturing and tech hub of the Middle East. It will also support our nearby naval base. The UK has approved some new manufacturing to go there immediately. This project will be ongoing through 2040 but will result in significant gains as Sudan has few major population and manufacturing centers. Sudan's Power Transmission - This is a complete overhaul of our transmission network to a smart energy grid capable of focusing power where it needs to go. This will set us up for solar and other renewable sources in the future. The Sudan Internet Infrastructure - We are rebuilding and expanding our internet infrastructure to bringer a much higher internet speed threshold to the people. It will likely be about 1 more year before it's completed with the effects for many years after. Red Beacon Tower - Part of Mukawwar Bay will be built around a giant skyscrapper called the "Red Beacon Tower". This will be a major business, tech, tourism, and housing hub of the city. Igan didn't feel that I should have 15% so it was adjusted to maintain a 12.5% though 2030. I'll be committing myself to projects here over the next few years to maintain a healthy 10%-12.5% over the next few years with a full eventual end in 2035 as it becomes increasingly harder to maintain that level of growth.

High Point Flight Academy Abu Dulayq, Sudan
Vice President Abdel Fattah al-Burhan had spent much of his vice presidency on ceremonial duties. Groundbreaking for factories, advising the president on military matters with the conflicts in and around the nearby Arabian peninsula, and being available to discuss relations with other leaders in the communities of Sudan. In reality, he was quite fed up with it. He was a military commander. Used to leading everyone. Not running errands. But he understood the need for the position of a vice president. Someone had to be the back up and someone had to represent another set of ears for the government. Today though was something more up his alley. The vice president found himself in Abu Dulayq at the newly created High Point Flight Academy. This was his vision for the Air Force. An elite facility designed to train the next generation of Sudan Air Force pilots. His first day was spent inspecting the facility. It had been completed a year prior but this was his first visit since. He toured the air control tower, hangars, and the barracks before sitting in for a guest lecture for new cadets. That afternoon, a small parade and demonstration of aircraft was help to showcase the skills of the instructors and cadets before a graduation ceremony was held and each pilot was granted his wings and orders for assignment. Following his speech to the now new officers, he himself was given a ride by the lead flight instructor in one of the new Grob G 120 trainer craft to see the facility from the air. He remarked on the simplicity of the aircraft and it’s ability to provide an excellent entry level trainer for new recruits before moving onward.
Mukawwar Naval Academy Mukawwar Bay, Sudan
President Abdalla Hamdok was enjoying his trip to Mukawwar Bay. He had spent the last 3 days in the area touring what he felt was the biggest national project in Sudan’s history. A new city was not something that could be completed overnight. While normally he would have taken the Presidential plane, he road in a luxury railcar to Port Sudan before taking a ride on the Red Sea Railway to the new city. It took longer, but was well worth it. He spent his first day in the city inspecting the downtown area which was home to roughly 17,000 people. The town had it’s own feel that was much different than Khartoum. It felt like he was walking in New York City or London. A town that was well on the move with cars and a metro system. People walked down the street in some areas and shopped in small boutiques. Further out, it recognized the apartments where more people lived and worked, and the suburbs were also visible a few miles out. New construction was everywhere as factories and other buildings were popping up everywhere to support what would be the crown jewel of the Red Sea. Hamdok’s second day was spent in the board and press rooms. He watched his vice president give a speech to initiate the first class of officers from High Point Flight Academy before signing over more government funding to set up a major tech incubator hub in the city. Finally, he announced that Adrian Smith had agreed to design with Thornton Tomasetti providing major engineering work for a 1000m, 170 floor skyscraper in the downtown area. Contracting services were to utilize local sources. At a cost of $1.3bn to the nation, it would serve as a beacon of technology, business, tourism, retail, and living space in the city and a sign of Sudan’s progress. On his third day, the president has spent it opening various businesses in the area as well as shopping before a private helicopter tour to the nearby island of Mukawwar where he spent the day away from reporters but with several military advisors. On his return, he announced the area to be protected reserve by the government. On his fourth day, President Hamdok toured the naval base in the bay as it was nearly completed. Most piers and drydocks were completed as was most of the storage facilities. A few more oil storage was needed and the barracks for a few berths were still under construction but the Mukawwar Naval Academy had been completed the year prior and naval cadets awaited him and his speech to send them off. This was the first academy specifically for naval forces on the Red Sea and thus it was important his speech match the tone. Upon the end of his speech, he retired for the day before utilizing his fifth day for vacation purposes and heading back to Khartoum.
[M] Both the President and Vice President spent the past week inspecting the new academies and bases before inducting their new officer corps at each location. President Hamdok got to tour the up and coming Mukawwar Bay city project which is roughly 25% completed and announced a skyscraper to be the latest addition to the world’s tallest skyscrapers.

General Intelligence Service Command Khartoum, Sudan
Captain Marti was a slender man in his 40s. He had spent the majority of his military career as an officer in the Signal Corps of the Sudan Armed Forces where he specialized in cyber intelligence. While in the Signal Corps, the captain was known as a technocrat and was able to pick up any piece of hardware and learn it’s uses within short order. This ability led him to quickly become a trusted upper officer by both his superiors and the men he led. Thus it was no surprise when his old radio operator, Abdulla Jimwa, contacted him about weird radio communications in the western expanses of Sudan and it was none too shocking that he could quickly get a meeting with the head of the General Intelligence Service not long after. Now, Marti was sitting in the antechamber to the Director of the General Intelligence Service, Jamal Abdel-Majeed. The manila envelopes in his hands were all he needed to get this meeting though. Marti held evidence that something out of place was occurring in Western Sudan and the director would need to see this. He was soon ushered in and commenced the meeting.
”Director Majeed. I would like to thank you for taking the time to meet with me. I have in my hand an envelope that will suggest that something nefarious is ongoing in western Sudan.” “Captain Marti. I understand that you are man that speaks and others are wise to listen but I can’t just take your words on this. What is your source for this accusations?” “Sir. I’ve commanded many men over the past 24 years in the armed services. Many of which are some of the brightest and most loyal Sudan has to offer. This individual is a retired non-commissioned officer in Al-Fashir. He was and probably is still one of the best radio operators that this country has ever seen. After retiring, Abdulla Jimwa, has gone on to teach electrical engineering at Al-Fashir University and runs the West Sudan Broadcast Club. It is from he that I have received all these logs in this manila folder. Each from the same operators and each describing stocking warehouses in relation to protecting someone known as “Crown.” “Well who do you think it’s in relation to?” “I couldn’t tell you Director. It’s obviously someone high profile but whom it is… I couldn’t answer. The radio operators around Mr. Jimwa have confirmed that it is localized somewhere in the short wave vicinity of west Sudan. Al-Fashir gets them fairly clearly. Al Goled gets garbled transmissions. Nyala operators report it clear though. What we need are your resources to coordinate a net to capture the broadcasts and determine where they are exactly and who is doing it. As you can see from the logs, they are setting up for some ‘party’ and from what I think, it’s a party that will take place in Al-Fashir, Nyala, Khartoum, Port Sudan, and Port Mukawwar Bay at a certain time. This is all hypothesis though. Those anacronyms tends to correspond with city names.” “There is a lot of assumption to what you saw Captain but again, you do have the respect of so many that I consider friends. I’m going to allow you to lead this operation. You’ll have a pretty tight budget but if you can determine if this is a real threat, we’ll move forward further. Deal?” “I know how this work director. I’ll provide the intelligence. You just have men ready to act when I do.” “If you do, you mean.” “No sir. When I find it because I will.”
With that Captain Marti exited the office and went to his own office at the Army command to inform his superiors of his new assignment.
[M] Captain Marti has shown his evidence to the Director of the General Intelligence Service in Sudan. He has had the fact finding mission handed to him and he has vowed to get to the bottom of it.

Urban Institute states, “Although opportunity zones were designed to spur job creation, the vast majority of opportunity zones capital appears to be flowing into real estate, not into operating businesses.” That’s contrary to Trump’s claim that the program has created “countless jobs.” Police reform rollbacks: https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/true-crime/wp/2017/08/27/trump-restores-program-sending-surplus-military-weapons-equipment-to-police/ https://www.factcheck.org/2020/06/trump-wrong-on-obama-biden-actions-on-policing/ Trump signed executive order to roll back Obama era restrictions on the transfer of military equipment to local PDs: “Obama also signed an executive order to create a working group to limit surplus military equipment and supplies that are provided for free to state and local law enforcement agencies under what’s called the 1033 program...tracked armored vehicles, grenade launchers and firearms/ammunition of .50 caliber and above — and a “controlled equipment list” — including wheeled armored vehicles, riot shields and helmets, and explosives. Police departments could still obtain the equipment in the latter group, but they would have to provide justification for needing it and proper training” Obama-era effort: the Collaborative Reform Initiative in the Office of Community Oriented Policing Services, which worked with local law enforcement to evaluate their operations, and recommend and institute changes. That program, too, ended under Trump. Trump's executive order parallels Obama’s 2015 executive order that he trashed, the Task Force on 21st Century Policing: Trump’s executive order called for the attorney general and secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services to “develop opportunities to train law enforcement officers with respect to encounters with individuals suffering from impaired mental health, homelessness, and addiction” and “to increase the capacity of social workers working directly with law enforcement agencies.” The 2015 task force report recommended “multidisciplinary, community team approaches” for “responding to mental health crisis situations” as well as community problems involving “homelessness, substance abuse, domestic violence, human trafficking, and child abuse.” Trans discrimination in housing: https://www.cbsnews.com/news/proposed-trump-administration-rule-would-allow-homeless-shelters-to-turn-away-transgender-individuals/ Trump is proposing a rule allowing federally funded homeless shelters to turn away trans and gender non-conforming people, revoking 2015 Affirmatively Furthering Fair housing rule by Obama admin. Unkept promise on coal: https://www.cnbc.com/2019/01/14/president-trump-cant-stop-us-coal-plants-from-retiring.html Pledged to bring coal back but it collapsed instead: Since Trump arrived in the White House, 23,400 megawatts of coal-burning power plants have been retired across the U.S. (8 coal mining comps filed for bankruptcy). “More U.S. coal-fired power plants were shut in President Donald Trump’s first two years than were retired in the whole of Barack Obama’s first term, despite the Republican’s efforts to prop up the industry to keep a campaign promise to coal-mining states.” VETERANS
False claims on Veterans Choice: https://federalnewsnetwork.com/government-news/2019/07/ap-fact-check-trump-often-wrong-on-military-matters/ Trump did not invent the idea of giving veterans the option to see private doctors outside the Department of Veterans Affairs medical system at government expense. Congress approved the private-sector Veterans Choice health program in 2014 and Obama signed it into law. Trump expanded it. VA does not expect Trump’s expansion to increase the number of people in care because the private sector has longer wait times. Millions of unspent money: https://time.com/5483823/veterans-affairs-suicide-prevention/ Government Accountability Office pledged money to deal with military suicide prevention but the VA only spent $57,000 of the $6.2 million allocated for it Decreased pay raises: https://apnews.com/782a6b786f294ecab8dbfc05ab32d3bb Pay raises in quantity for military actually shrunk under Trump (3.4% under Obama to 2.6% at its highest under Trump) Transgender in military ban: https://www.nytimes.com/2017/07/26/us/politics/trump-transgender-military.html “Some 2,000 to 11,000 active-duty troops are transgender, according to a 2016 RAND Corporation study commissioned by the Pentagon, though estimates of the number of transgender service members have varied widely, and are sometimes as high as 15,000.” “The study found that allowing transgender people to serve openly in the military would “have minimal impact on readiness and health care costs” for the Pentagon. It estimated that health care costs would rise $2.4 million to $8.4 million a year, representing an infinitesimal 0.04 to 0.13 percent increase in spending.” American troops killed by Taliban after being given military equipment and financial aid by Russia. (https://www.nytimes.com/2020/06/26/us/politics/russia-afghanistan-bounties.html Trump knew about the bounty on American troops and has yet to make any repercussions. HEALTH CARE
Challenged Affordable Care Act (aka Obamacare or ACA) to the Supreme Court: https://www.nytimes.com/2020/06/26/us/politics/obamacare-trump-administration-supreme-court.html ACA covers 23 million people.
By repealing ACA, Medicare beneficiaries would pay more because premiums and deductibles are tied to the growth of federal outlays (expenditures): https://www.kff.org/health-reform/issue-brief/what-are-the-implications-of-repealing-the-affordable-care-act-for-medicare-spending-and-beneficiaries/ The Congressional Budget Office estimates that “full repeal of the ACA would increase Medicare spending by $802 billion from 2016 to 2025. Full repeal would increase spending primarily by restoring higher payments to health care providers and Medicare Advantage plans. The increase in Medicare spending would likely lead to higher Medicare premiums, deductibles, and cost sharing for beneficiaries, and accelerate the insolvency of the Medicare Part A trust fund.” Proof of ACA success: the typical Medicare beneficiary is paying about $700 less in premium and cost sharing this year because of slower growth in costs and repealing ACA increases cost of Medicare by 802B total Slower premium growth under Obama after ACA passage: https://www.factcheck.org/2015/02/slower-premium-growth-under-obama/ Between 2002 and 2008, average family premium costs increased by 58%. Since the passage of Obamacare, in 2010, average premium costs have only increased by around 33% ACA reduced healthcare spending by $2.3 trillion: https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2016/06/obamacare-savings-expenditure-report/488348/ Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 cuts individual mandate penalties, a significant part of the ACA: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5944881/ “will erase some of the gains in insurance coverage achieved since implementation of the ACA’s coverage expansions. The resulting increases in rates of uninsurance will likely lead to increased uncompensated care and deflect hospitals and health departments from addressing other prevention and public health needs.” Discrimination in healthcare: https://www.npr.org/sections/health-shots/2020/06/12/868073068/transgender-health-protections-reversed-by-trump-administration Removed non-discrimination protections for people in the LGBTQ+ community in health care and health insurance as well as for women seeking abortions ( This was an Obama era policy) Removed Obama-era requirements that the vast majority of health care providers post information in 15 languages and make translation services readily available. (https://www.hhs.gov/sites/default/files/1557-fs-lep-508.pdf) The Supreme Court allows the Trump administration to allow employers with religious or moral objections to deny women free birth control coverage under the Affordable Care Act (https://www.nytimes.com/2020/07/08/us/supreme-court-birth-control-obamacare.html). According to government estimates, about 70,000 to 126,000 women would lose contraceptive coverage from their employers if the Trump administration (which will cause an uptick in abortions). Recession causing millions of people uninsured: https://www.nytimes.com/2020/07/13/us/politics/coronavirus-health-insurance-trump.html The coronavirus pandemic stripped an estimated 5.4 million American workers of their health insurance between February and May. 2020.09.02 03:50 StevenStevens43 Ancient Aryans

Ancient Aryans
Ancient Aryans:
The first mention of a suspected Aryan invasion comes from the 1st pharoah of the new 2nd dynasty of Egypt, Hotepsekhemwy, in 2890 BC.
Hotepsekhemwy is the Horus name of an early Egyptian king who was the founder of the Second Dynasty of Egypt.
White crown:
He appears to be an invader that has just removed the native Egyptian pharoah from the throne, and created a new dynasty. A clue, as to what poliitcal culture he might be from, may be represented in the colour of crown he is attributed to be wearing.
The plundering of the cemetery and the unusually conciliatory meaning of the name Hotepsekhemwy may be clues of a dynastic struggle. Additionally, Helck assumes that the kings Sneferka and Horus “Bird” were omitted from later king lists because their struggles for the Egyptian throne were factors in the collapse of the first dynasty.[1][10][16]
Seal impressions provide evidence of a new royal residence called "Horus the shining star" that was constructed by Hotepsekhemwy. He also built a temple near Buto for the little-known deity Netjer-Achty and founded the "Chapel of the White Crown". The white crown is a symbol of Upper Egypt. This is thought to be another clue to the origin of Hotepsekhemwy's dynasty, indicating a likely source of political power.[1]
White house:
It is likely that this invasion led to the forming of the ancient Egyptian administration centre, named "the White house".
where a new administrative centre called "The white house of treasury" was founded under Peribsen.
It is very likely that the pharoah which Hotepsekhemwy defeated was Semerkhet, who was a native ancient Egyptian pharoah which reigned towards the end of the Egyptian 1st dynasty. And his reign ended with a Calamity, of some sorts.
Likely an invasion.
Semerkhet is the Horus name of an early Egyptian king who ruled during the first dynasty. This ruler became known through a tragic legend handed down by the ancient Greek historian, Manetho, who reported that a calamity of some sort occurred during Semerkhet's reign.
Until this abrupt end to the Egyptian 1st dynasty, the ancient Egyptian empire had been expanding Northwards, out of the lower Naqada cataracts.
Sekhen-Ka was a pre-dynastic pharoah that had greatly expanded the Egyptian empire, paving the way for the 1st dynasty.
Ka is one of the best attested predynastic kings with Narmer and Scorpion II. Beyond Abydos, he is attested in the predynastic necropolis of Adaima in Upper Egypt[9]#citenote-9) and in the north in Tarkhan), Helwan, Tell Ibrahim Awad, Wadi Tumilat and as far north as Tel Lod in the Southern Levant.[[10]](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ka(pharaoh)#cite_note-dyn0-10)
Link for photo#/media/File:Map_of_ka_serekh.png)
Northward expansion
Land of Punt:
The origins of this expansion was likely the land of Punt.
Those from the land of Punt were likely very wealthy as they were gold minors which trafficked and traded in gold, as their main resource.
Land of Punt
The Land of Punt (Egyptian: 📷 pwnt; alternate Egyptological readings Pwene(t)[2] /pu:nt/) was an ancient kingdom. A trading partner of Ancient Egypt, it was known for producing and exporting gold, aromatic resins, blackwood, ebony, ivory and wild animals.

Land of Punt
The empire actually likely spread as far as Sumer, where Sumerian controlled the port of Ur.

URU ships:
Uru ships were ancient shipping vessels constructed in Indus Valley in 4000 BC, and the ships arrived in Mesopotamia from India, and trade relations between India, Mesopotamia, and Ancient egypt, began.
Boats were used between 4000 and 3000 BC in Sumer,[1] ancient Egypt[12] and in the Indian Ocean.[1]
Boats played an important role in the commerce between the Indus Valley Civilization and Mesopotamia.[13] Evidence of varying models of boats has also been discovered at various Indus Valley archaeological sites.[14][15] Uru) craft originate in Beypore, a village in south Calicut, Kerala, in southwestern India. This type of mammoth wooden ship was constructed[when?] solely of teak, with a transport capacity of 400 tonnes.

Black headed people:
The Sumerian were a non Semitic speaking people, (as we can read below) that referred to themselves as "Black headed people", which could be a clue that they are from the Land of Punt.
The term "Sumer" (𒋗𒈨𒊒, Sumerian: eme.gi7, Akkadian: Šumeru) is the name given to the land of the "Sumerians", the ancient non-Semitic-speaking inhabitants of southern Mesopotamia, by their successors the East Semitic-speaking Akkadians.[6][7][8] The Sumerians themselves referred to their land as "Kiengir", the "Country of the noble lords" (𒆠𒂗𒄀, ki-en-gi(-r), lit. "country" + "lords" + "noble") as seen in their inscriptions.[6][9][10]
The origin of the Sumerians is not known, but the people of Sumer referred to themselves as "Black Headed Ones" or "Black-Headed People"[6]
Link for photo.jpg)
Black headed ones
Kishite language:
They spoke a language known as "kishite", which gets confused as being a Semitic language. But it is not in fact a Semitic language.
Kish civilization
Kish represented an independent East Semitic linguistic entity that spoke a dialect (Kishite),[7]
It appears to be a Semitic language. However there was no such thing as a Semitic language at this point in time. There was Sumerian (Kishite) spoken in Sumer, and Akkadian, spoken in Mesopotamia, and it was not until Sargon of Akkad from Mesopotamia invaded Sumer, that the Sumerian language and the Akkadian language merged to create the Semitic language.
The Semitic language merely contained certain Kishitic components. Which is not the same thing as the Sumerian language being Semitic.
"component" is an "important" word.
1st dynasty#First_Dynasty_of_Kish)
The East Semitic nature of these and other early names associated with Kish reveals that its population had a strong Semitic (Akkadian) speaking) component from the dawn of recorded history.[7]#cite_note-7)
However, not all Sumerians would have hung around Sumer, after Sargons conquest, and many would have retreated to the land of Punt, and some would even cross over to the Cushitic side of Punt, and the Kishite language would carry many of it's components in to the Afro Cushitic languages that evolved.
The Cushitic languages are a branch of the Afroasiatic language family. They are spoken primarily in the Horn of Africa (Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia and Somalia), as well as the Nile Valley (Sudan and Egypt), and parts of the African Great Lakes region (Tanzania and Kenya). Speakers of Cushitic languages and the descendants of speakers of Cushitic languages are referred to as Cushitic peoples.
Kingdom of Kush:
The Kingdom of Kish, would also reappear in a more Cushitic form later in history. And Kishite empire, would turn in to Kushite empire.
Kingdom of Kush
The Kingdom of Kush (/kʊʃ, kʌʃ/; Egyptian: 𓎡𓄿𓈙𓈉 kꜣš, Assyrian: 📷 Ku-u-si, in LXX Ancient Greek: Κυς and Κυσι; Coptic: ⲉϭⲱϣ; Hebrew: כּוּשׁ‎) was an ancient kingdom in Nubia, centered along the Nile Valley in what is now northern Sudan and southern Egypt.
Link for photo
Kingdom of Kush
Semitic language:
However it was definitely not Aryans that conquered Sumer, as the Semitic language is an Afro-Asiatic language, and therefore the Akkadians which conquered Sumer, must have spoken an Asiatic tongue.
Semitic language
The Semitic languages, previously also named Syro-Arabian languages, are a branch of the Afroasiatic language family originating in the Middle East[2]
Gutian people:
However, the Akkadian empire would only just form, and begin speaking the Semitic language, when the Aryans would conquer them.
Gutian people
Conflict between people from Gutium and the Akkadian Empire has been linked to the collapse of the empire, towards the end of the 3rd millennium BC. The Guti subsequently overran southern Mesopotamia and formed the Gutian dynasty of Sumer. The Sumerian king list suggests that the Guti ruled over Sumer for several generations following the fall of the Akkadian Empire.[3]
Blond haired and light coloured:
Physical appearance
According to the historian Henry Hoyle Howorth (1901), Assyriologist Theophilus Pinches (1908), renowned archaeologist Leonard Woolley (1929) and Assyriologist Ignace Gelb (1944), the Gutians were pale in complexion and blond. But this was asserted on the basis of assumed broad links to peoples mentioned in the Old Testament.[24][25][26][27] This identification of the Gutians as fair haired first came to light when Julius Oppert (1877) published a set of tablets he had discovered which described Gutian (and Subarian) slaves as namrum or namrûtum, one of its many meanings being "light colored".[28][
The Gutians being under White house administration, would be mere speculation.

2020.08.31 18:05 Swaggy_Linus Al-Aswani's account of the kingdom of Makuria in around 970 AD

Al-Aswani's account of the kingdom of Makuria in around 970 AD
After the Fatimid conquest of Egypt in 969, the Fatimids immediately sent an ambassador to Christian Nubian kingdom of Makuria to ensure peaceful relations with their new neighbour to the south. It was a powerful state at the peak of its cultural development, with its influence ranging from Alwa and Kordofan in the south to Upper Egypt in the north. Al-Aswani's account has sadly been lost, but it was qouted extensively by the later historian al-Maqrizi. It is by far the most extensive and vivid account of any pre-modern Sudanese kingdom.

Philae in the mid-19th century. It marked the border between Egypt and Makuria
1) "The first village (balad) of the Nūba is the village (qarya) of al-Qaṣr, five miles from Aswān. The last stronghold (hiṣn) of the Moslems is an island called Bilāq [Philae], one mile away from the [first] village of the Nūba, situated on the Nubian river bank. From Aswān to this place there are huge cataracts (janādil) in the river (al-baḥr): boats cannot pass through, except with the skillful help of the local fishermen, who are well acquainted with them, because these rocks are steep and the Nile divides here into many streams. The roaring of the cataracts is heard from a great distance. In this village there is an armed garrison (musallaḥa) and a gate leading to the country of the Nūba. Between this village and the first cataract (janādil) of the Nubian country there are ten halting places (marāḥil). The Moslems [who live] in this district (nāḥiya) have a free hand there: they own properties in the neighbourhood and carry out trade in the upper part. There is also a number of Moslem inhabitants but none of them speaks Arabic. This district is narrow and uneven, very mountainous and situated exclusively on the Nile, its villages being ranged in lines along its banks, with palm and muql (bdellium, Theban palm-tree).
2) The upper part of this district is broader than its lower part and has vine plantations (kurūm); the Nile does not water its fields because of the upward slope of the land [from the river]. The cultivated area is one or two or three acres (faddān) and is watered by water-wheels (dawālīb) drawn by oxen. They [the inhabitants] plant little, wheat (qamḥ), but more barley and rye (sult). Because the cultivated area is narrow, they plant continuously never allowing the land to go fallow. In summer, after fertilising it with manure and [new] earth, they sow it with dukhn (pennisetum millet), dhurra (sorghum millet), ... (al-jāwrus), sesame and beans (lūbiyah).

Faras in the mid-19th century
3) In this district is located the town of Bujarāsh [Faras], the capital of al-Marīsī, as well as two fortresses (qal’a), one of which is the fortress of Ibrīm. There is also the port (minā) known as Adwāʾ, reputed to be the homeland of Luqmān the Wise and Dhū-l-Nūn. There are also the marvellous ruins of a temple (birbā). This district is ruled by a governor (wālī) called "the Lord of the Mountain" [the Eparch], representing the Great Lord of the Nūba (ʿazīm an-Nūba). He is among the highest ranking of their wālīs. This district borders on the land of Islam and anyone who comes from the land of the Moslems to Nubia has to deal with him, whether for the purpose of trace or to bring a gift to him or to his Lord (mawlā). He receives everyone and presents all [visitors] with slaves, but allows no one, Moslem or otherwise, to travel [up country] to visit his Lord.
4) At the first cataract in the country of the Nūba there is a village called Baqwā which is a terminal port for the boats of the Nūba sailing upstream from al-Qaṣr on the frontier of their country. The boats cannot go further. No one, Moslem or otherwise, is allowed to go upstream beyond this point, except by permission from the Lord of the Mountain. Between the port and the Upper Maqs (al-maqs al-a'lā) there are six stopping places [all the length] full of cataracts. This is the worst part I ever saw in this district, for it is narrow, extremely difficult to navigate and full of cataracts and intervening rocks, where the Nile sometimes becomes as narrow as fifty cubits (dhirāʿ) only. The land on either side is cut by narrow passages (majāwib), steep heights and mountainous passes so narrow that neither a rider nor any ill-equipped traveller on foot can cross them. On both the western and the eastern [banks] there are sands. These mountains provide the inhabitants with a [natural] fortress (hiṣn), where the inhabitants of the district bordering the land of Islam seek shelter. In some islands there are palm-trees and some plantations of negligible value. Their staple food is fish. They also use fish oil (shahm) to anoint themselves. These islands are part of the Marīs and are under the authority of the Lord of the Mountain. The commander of the garrison (musallaḥa), which is in the Upper Maqs, is appointed by their Lord (Kabīr). He keeps a very tight control over them, so tight that even their greatest man (ʿazīma-hom), when he passes through, is stopped by any man from the garrison, who feigns to search him, so that he might do the same to the [King's] sons, his viziers and anybody else.
5) Here neither the dinar, nor the dirham are of any use because they do not use money in their transactions, except with the Muslims beyond the cataract they do not buy or sell with money, but carry out their transactions by the exchange of slaves (raqīq), cattle, camels, iron tools and grains. Nobody is allowed to pass beyond this point except by permission of the king (malik): whoever transgresses this [law], is liable to the death penalty, whosoever he may be. By this precautionary measure, whatever happens [in their kingdom] is kept secret, so that their army can attack a country or carry a raid in the [environing] desert without anybody knowing.
6) The emery (sinbādh, whetstone) which is used in polishing gems, comes from this spot in the Nile. They dive for it and recognize it by its coldness when touched, compared with other stones. If they have any doubt as to its nature, they breathe on it and it forms a light film of moisture.

A cotton field in the early 20th century. Already during al-Aswani's visit cotton was produced in Sudan, while Egypt was still primarily cultivating flax. Hence, cotton was highly valued.
7) Beyond this garrison, there is a village called Sāy, which is on a cataract. [Sāy] is one of their seats [of government], where a bishop resides. There is a ruined temple (birbā). Next comes the district (nāḥiya) of Saqlūdhā [Mahas], which means the "Seven Governors" (wūlāh) ; its land is very similar to the region bordering the land of the Muslims, somewhere wide, somewhere narrow, with its palm-trees, vines, muql, and other plantations. There are few cotton plantations from which they make rough cotton material, and there are also some olive trees. The Wālī of this district is directly appointed by their king (kabīr) and under him are other governors who exercise authority.
8) A fortress (qal’a) called Astanūn is located there and it marks the beginning of the third cataract, which is the most difficult cataract to cross, because there is a mountain protruding into the Nile from the east to the west, and the water gushes through three passages, and might even be limited to only two [passages] at low tide. It has a terrible roar but [presents] a beautiful view as the waters fall on it [the bedrock] from the heights of the mountain. South of it, the [river] bed is full of rocks lying in the middle of the Nile, stretching over the distance of three days' journey [abrud] as far as the village of Bastū, which is the last village [in the territory] of the Marīs and the beginning of the country of Muqurra. From this place to the frontier of the Muslims the language of the people is the Marīsī, and this (al-Marīs) is the last [most northerly] district of their king (mutamallik). There is the district (nāḥiya) of Baqūn, which means "marvel": it is so called because of its beauty.
9) I did not see a wider district on the Nile: I estimated that the width of the Nile in this district, from east to west, is five days' journey. The islands break up the Nile into several streams, which flow among them through a low-lying land and [along] an uninterrupted string of villages and fine buildings with pigeon towers, cattle and camels. The bulk food supplies to their capital come from this district. Their [commonest] birds are the taghṭīṭ, the nūbī, the babbāgh and other beautiful birds. Their king prefers to spend his leisure in this district. [Al-Aswānī] said: I was with him on some of these occasions and we made our way in the narrow canals under the shadow of trees from both banks. The crocodiles in this country are not harmful. I saw them [the inhabitants] swimming across these canals. Next comes Safadh Ba'al, which is a narrow district, similar to the one on the borders of their country, with the difference that at Safadh Ba'al there are beautiful islands, and within less than two days' journey are about thirty villages with beautiful buildings, churches and monasteries, many palm-trees, vines, gardens, cultivated fields and broad pastures on which one can see camels (ibil) and very fine dromedaries (jumāl suhub) for breedding (mu'abbala li-n-nitāj). Their king often comes here because the southern border of this district is contiguous with Dongola (Dunqula), the capital.

The Throne Hall of Dongola as it probably looked like during al-Aswani's visit. Its inside was painted with colourful depictions of saints, angels and kings
10) From the town of Dongola, the capital of the country, to Aswān, is a distance of fifty days away. He [al-Aswānī] gave a description of it and then said: they roof their houses with the wood of the sunt tree and the sāj, which is carried to them by the Nile during the flood season, in planks (isqālāt) with carvings (manḥuta), and no one knows where they come from. I saw for myself some very strange signs (ʿalāma gharība).
11) One of the wonders of Nubia - about which the King of Maqurra told me – [is] that, when they have rains on the mountains, they, soon afterwards, collect fish on the ground. I asked them what kind it was. They said that it was small in size and has a red tail.
12) I saw many tribes of the people whom I mentioned before; most of them believe in the Creator (al-bārī) and make offerings to Him in the form of the Sun, or the Moon or the Stars. Some of them do not know the Creator and adore the Sun and the Day [an-nahār; B.: an-nār, the Fire); some others adore whatever they like; trees or animals. He [al-Aswani] said that he saw a man in the council of the King of Maqurra (majlis 'azīm al-muqurra) and questioned him about his country. The man answered that the distance from it to the Nile is three months' journey. He questioned the man about his religion and the man replied: 'My Lord (rabbī) and your Lord and the Lord of the King and the Lord of every man is but One'. He asked: 'Where is He?' The man answered: 'In Heaven alone: Glory to Him!' He also said that if the rains are late, or the people are hit by the plaque, or if pestilence falls on their cattle, they climb the mountain and pray to God and they are heard promptly and granted their demands before they come down [from the mountain]. [Al-Aswānī] asked him: 'Did He ever send an Envoy (rasūl) among you?' He replied: ‘No’. So al-Aswānī told him about the mission of Moses and 'Isā and Moḥammed - God be pleased with them! - and the wonders which they wrought! The man answered: 'If they have wrought this, they should be believed.' Then he said: ‘I [too] should have believed in them, had they done that [in my presence]’."

Appendix: al-Maqrizi about al-Aswani's presence in Dongola and his discussion with king George
Mural from the Sonqi Tino church likely showing king George (\"Qirqi\")
"Selim was sent by Jawhar to carry a letter to Qīrqī, king of Nubia, to invite him to embrace Islam and to solicit the payment of the baqṭ. This envoy, in the presence of the two witnesses he had brought with him, exhorted the king to embrace Islam. The king, surprised by such a proposal, summoned the [chief] men and the bishops (asāqifa) of his kingdom as well as 'Abdalla, to have a discussion (munāẓara) with 'Abdalla. The king read a letter which he had written to Jawhar in reply to the one he had received from Jawhar which contained the invitation to embrace Islam, but the king invited Jawhar to embrace Christianity. He replied to the argument put forth by Jawhar, who claimed that [Islam] had abrogated the previous religions. After a long discussion with 'Abdalla, the king [of Nubia] declared himself proud of his perfect allegiance to the Moslem kings, as well as of the constant loyalty of his father and grand-father to the agreements. 'Abdalla replied: - 'Your invitation to the emir [to become a Christian] shows your gratitude, because he actually wished to secure for you the same benefit as the one he has for himself. You ought to thank God for the favour he has bestowed on you by allowing you to enjoy the possession of your kingdom. In fact, Islam, since its rise, has overthrown the most powerful kings, such as the Caesars (akāsira) and your nearest neighbour the king of Egypt.' Then he added: - 'Which of the two kingdoms is more powerful, Egypt or yours?' The king answered: 'Surely, Egypt is more powerful and richer than ours, yet, we are superior to Egypt in population and troops.' 'Abdalla said: - 'If I contend that Egypt has a population more numerous than your kingdom, my argument has no foundation, because, as you may well point out, I have no idea of the number of your subjects, and also beyond your capital there are such and such provinces which I have never seen. Do you know a rank higher than the king's in the world?' The king of Nubia said: - 'No.' 'Abdalla then continued: - 'God, once upon a time, sent to the king of Egypt the prophets Musà and Harūn. When Musà addressed the Pharaoh by saying: - ’You are a king,' the Pharaoh rejected this address and claimed: 'I am God.' Well, so proud a king did God overthrow by the hands of the Moslems. In addition, the Moslems have occupied most of the towns which are the seas of the Patriarchs of the Christians, namely Alexandria, Jerusalem and Antioch, as well as many other towns and regions. Therefore, give thanks to God for the distinguished favour he has bestowed on you, by allowing you to inherit the crown of your ancestors.' Then Qīrqī humbled himself to God and gave him thanks.
Sulaym al-Aswānī is the author of Kitāb Akhbār an-Nūba wa-l-Muqurra wa-'Alwa wa-l-Buja wa-n-Nil. Our author relates that while he was at the court of the king of Nubia, it was the time of the Feast of the Sacrifice (ʿId al-Aḍḥā). He went out of the town of Dongola (Dunqula) together with some sixty Moslems. After they had unfurled two banners (bandayn), on which the name of al-Mu'izz li-dīnillah was inscribed, he ordered the drum (ṭabl) to be beaten and the trumpets (būq) be blown and together with all his companions performed the prayer of the feast. The court pressed the king to forbid all publicity for that ceremony, but the king would not pay heed to their request and answered: - 'This man has left his home and family [to go] on a useful mission. Today is the greatest feast of their own religion: he wants to celebrate it with all possible pomp: you shall not prevent him from enjoying this opportunity."

Map of Expansion, NG368, ET108, ET106
The Sudan was a nation built upon liberation of all African peoples, especially the Sudanese and thus the Republic had a prime directive to unite the area. The guide of the revolution, President Odhiambo Okelo has pushed for a directive to bring The Sudan into the international stage by expanding eastward and establishing port control. With ports under control of The Sudan trade can begin expanding further and further. In the east, there were only minor warlords that ruled over the border provinces and thus the loyal and revolutionary forces of The Sudan quickly placated the bandits.
Sudanese Forces preparing to push into the east, colourised.
The eastern provinces were quickly brought into the Sudanese system known as Okeloism. Worker cooperatives were set up and soldiers were to be stationed in the area to make sure dissent is low and banditry is destroyed. The lands of the east would quickly be incorporated into the Republic, ensuring that any colonial legacy in the area would be removed and towns would revert back to their local names. Once again The Sudan would be united under the common goal of Pan-Africanism and a Third Way, a third way that is guided by President Okelo.

2020.08.25 03:03 autotldr Russian military expands in Africa by building bases in six countries

This is the best tl;dr I could make, original reduced by 70%. (I'm a bot)
The German daily newspaper Bild citing a leaked secret German Foreign Ministry report wrote that the Russians are building military bases in six African countries.
The report says that Russian President Vladimir Putin has made "Africa a top priority." The bases are part of the Russians' new African ambitions.
The report said that by courting some of the continent's most dictatorial regimes, the Kremlin was "Contractually assured" it would "Be allowed to build military bases in six countries." These countries are the Central African Republic, Egypt, Eritrea, Madagascar, Mozambique, and Sudan according to the Foreign Ministry's leaked document.
Back in December, the head of Sudan's parliamentary defense committee MG Al-Hadi Adam had said regarding a Russian request to construct a port in Sudan, "The date of the requested port call is being discussed. It will be approved if the two countries make an agreement. This deal will pave the way for more agreements and greater cooperation possibly a Russian base on the Red Sea.".
German Foreign Ministry experts have termed the Wagner Group a Russian "Hybrid instrument political, economic, and military influence."
Russians will have to compete with the French who also have influence and are deployed in the Central African Republic and the neighboring countries of Mali, Burkina Faso, Niger, Mauritania, and Chad - all of them former French colonies.

2020.08.25 01:12 TheManIsNonStop [Expansion] Joint Gulf Food Standards Organization

February 2027
Though the GCC have a common market and relatively similar regulatory structures, there are still some issues when it comes to the certification of foodstuffs. Food imported in some countries is not necessarily up to the regulatory standards in others—a problem that is made more complicated by the issue of ensuring proper halal certification on foods. With most of the trade bloc’s foodstuffs being imported, the Arab Gulf States have agreed to set up a joint regulatory body, the Joint Gulf Food Standards Organization, to standardize the import restrictions on agricultural products.
Oman has the largest agricultural industry out of all of the JGFSO member states, and so it stands to reason that their economy stands to benefit the most by streamlining food and agricultural regulations between the members. The government of Oman has been an active participant in the JGFSO talks, hoping to ensure that its agriculture sector (which, depending on the year, is the first or second non-oil sector in terms of exports) is well-positioned in the future market.
Despite being the largest producer of agricultural goods in the participating nations, Oman is still a net importer of food goods, and so the nation also stands to be impacted by the implementation of a streamlined set of food import requirements. With new rail and projects planned throughout the country, Oman is hoping to position itself as one of the leading locations for agricultural products (originating in places like the EAC, Sudan, Egypt, India, and Pakistan) to enter the country, with the hope that goods will enter at Muscat, Salalah or Duqm (all considerably closer than other GCC ports like Doha, Jebel Ali, or Kuwait City) and then transfer over to Omani roads and rails--something that would have been more difficult previously given the mishmash of food regulations and import restrictions that existed prior.
Oman is also hoping take advantage of its land border with Yemen to take advantage of that country’s agricultural sector (which is, truth told, one of the only sectors still functioning in the country). JGFSO agents will be stationed at the few regulated border crossings to ensure that food is up to standards and that no illegal materials (i.e. guns, khat) are in the shipments.
JGFSO had an interesting dilemma to contend with when moving into Qatar. Qatar is attempting to position itself as the hydroponics capital of the Middle East, using its abundant natural gas supplies (and the resultant cheap energy) to its benefit in order to reduce the amount of water used in its agricultural sector (hydroponics uses considerably less water and space per unit of food produced, but considerably more energy). As indoor, vertically farmed hydroponics are still a relative novelty, JGFSO found itself responsible for establishing the norms and standards governing what was safe and unsafe in hydroponic food production.
Ultimately, JGFSO ended up deciding to place stricter biological safety standards on hydroponics facilities than exist for traditional farms, as the close proximity between plants and the insulated environment make it easier for dangerous pathogens to move between different plants. These regulations are not large enough to be overly burdensome to the burgeoning hydroponics industry in the country, but it should prevent a bad outbreak from contaminating large amounts of Qatar’s vegetable supply.
Another emerging issue was that of lab grown meat, which some agribusinesses were beginning to experiment with in Qatar (again, believing that the low energy prices made it an attractive location for the energy intensive business). There was some debate over whether lab grown meat could be considered halal, as the process of stem cell collection did not necessarily require the slaughter of the animal, meaning that the animal could later die in a manner that would make the cultured meat produced from its cells haram. After considerable debate, JGFSO, in coordination with the various fatwa councils of its member states, determined that lab grown meat was considered halal if the animal the cells were collected from was slaughtered in a halal manner. However, they will still have to be labeled appropriately in order to ensure that consumers are able to make an informed choice when shopping for products.
With this regulatory hurdle now cleared, agribusinesses in Qatar are hopeful that they will be able to expand their businesses into the rest of the GCC, providing a regular source of meat for the water-strapped countries.
Bahrain, like most of the GCC organizations, imports most of its food. The largest food imports include fruits, vegetables, meat, live animals, cereals, and dairy products. Being an island nation, most of these goods are delivered by ship to one of the ports on the island (with the exception of those few agricultural goods that make their way across the King Fahd Causeway from Saudi Arabia).
JGFSO is expected to have the highest number of agents per capita in Bahrain. At first glance, this seems somewhat odd: Bahrain is, by far, the smallest market within the GCC and one of the poorer member states, and should correspondingly have a lower need for food safety inspectors than the other states. This, of course, assumes that their only purpose is food inspection. Using its higher number of field agents, JGFSO will also be actively performing spot checks of food shipments into the country’s ports under the pretext of “guaranteeing foods standards.” While they will, infact, be guaranteeing that the food meets regulatory standards, they will also be checking for any signs of illicit materials, especially military materiel, that may be smuggled through these ships.
On a similar note, JGFSO has implemented a new set of standards regarding the acceptable levels of pollution that can be found in fish before it is deemed unfit for consumption. While this is a serious issue, considering the amount of pollution in the waters around Bahrain, which has been leading to struggles in Bahrain’s fishing industry, the added benefit of these searches is that it gives Bahraini officials a pretext to search small fishing boats and their holds, which Britain has informed us are being used by China to smuggle weapons to the Shi’a militants of Bahrain.
Though it only has a very small agricultural sector of its own, and most seaborne food exports stop well south of the port of Kuwait City, Kuwait is expected to be one of the most important regions for JGFSO. Since Kuwait shares a border with Iraq, Kuwait is the point of entry for most Iraqi agricultural products, other than those that travel by sea (and as road and rail infrastructure in the region improve, we expect more of these products to use those rather than sea lanes).
Given Iraq’s tendency towards instability and the continued operation of non-government militant groups in the country, the GCC member states are extremely concerned that a soft border towards Iraq will allow dissident groups to smuggle weapons into their territory. As a result, Kuwaiti customs and border control are slated to work in close cooperation with JGFSO to ensure that food shipments are not used as a cover for weapons attempting to enter the country.
While Kuwait will engage in bilateral cooperation with Iraq’s government to try to identify potential shipments and bad actors before they make it to the Kuwaiti border, the fact of the matter is that Iraq’s poor governance structures mean that Kuwait and JGFSO will have to be relatively self-sufficient when it comes to preventing cross-border smuggling attempts. Kuwait will have the second largest JGFSO field office in the GCC (measured in agents per capita), and additional funding will be directed to its CBP capabilities--which should also, more generally, help the agency better handle the increase in Iraq-GCC trade that is expected to happen over the next several years.

As Sudan's economy has started the uphill climb, I worked in what I thought the growth would be due to projects that I started since year 1. This is just growth from project start but a few completions are in there. Railway Standardization - The entire rail itself is completed as is the stockyard and maintenance facility. I reckon this will have a year or more of upward trend before it goes back down. Nile Textile Investment Board - This entity has secured some major brands to move their manufacturing licenses to Sudan (and Egypt). This will increase exports as finished goods to higher markets. We are in the middle of the rise on this but peak will be in 2027 with the decline beginning in 2028. Education Construction - This is all about building, rebuilding, and revamping education buildings throughout Sudan. Construction has no doubt started in places and is creating jobs and stability. We are only 3 of 7 years completed in this so education will start to go up in a few years. Nile Investment Bank Formed - This is an investment bank we formed so that individuals can have grants and loans to start up their own businesses. It has been funded with about 2.15bn. The government can also take from this for economic projects. It is mostly being used to build the Mawakkar Bay City Project to be detailed later but this is a catchall for my private business too. Farmer's Bank Investment - The Central Bank privatized the Agriculture budget of Sudan to Farmer's Bank. This will allow increased use of the spending from just on farmers in need to other uses that will eventually benefit farmers like subsidizing tractors and the creation of factories and silos. New Military Bases - We are building nearly a dozen new bases around the country. These are creating jobs for people and revitalizing our construction industry. The air bases and naval base are what remains. International/Feeder Rail Lines - I had to fulfill some promises I made to leaders in other countries but these impact us. A rail line to eastern Chad which is already finished as well as a rail line to Al Fashir. Both of those completed in 2025. I'm also building rail lines to eastern Eritrea and to Juba in South Sudan this year. Expecting some better growth next year. All lines associated are completed so expect a 2 year increase and then drop to normalcy here. Manufacturing Strides - I (with help from the UK) have done some investment into our manufacturing with concrete and steel plants around Sudan. This will help keep spending localized on future projects and will make us a nearby nation for the interior of Africa to call on. This project will be ongoing through 2040 but will result in significant gains. It will likely be about 3 years before it's completed with a effects for many years after.
I think we finally start to say that the Saudi Arabia question is making the oil in Sudan more attractive to consumers. This has been lightly factored in here. I think in total, my growth will see a 15% increase between 2028 and 2030 before a decline to 8% in 2035 where it will likely stick as investment is so high and projects are making leaps and bounds.
